Join us for a singing weekend exploring themes of Community and Home.
Hosted at Bridgend Farmhouse and held by Edinburgh-based singing facilitators Francesco Benvenuti, Tamsin Wates, and Darla Eno.
We will delve into sound, songs and connection through singing and feasting traditions which venerate and celebrate community and land.
Beside learning songs, this will also be a chance to explore the deep sound resonance and harmonies of Georgian singing as well as honoring and celebrating our local Scottish cultural heritage.
No previous experience of singing required. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- When:
SATURDAY 6TH: 2-6pm Workshop followed by a feast in the style of a Georgian "Supra" from 7pm
SUNDAY 7TH: 10am-1pm Workshop followed by lunch at 1pm
The cost includes Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch. The purpose of the sliding scale is that those with greater means pay more so that it is accessible to those who can’t afford as much. Please let us know if money is a barrier to your attendance as we would still like to welcome you.
